On Tuesday 11th December 2007 at 7pm, Emmanuel Holcombe CE Primary School performed their annual Nativity and Carol Service at Emmanuel Church, Holcombe.
The infants did a nativity play called the "Gigantic Star" by Caroline Hoile. It told people the message of what happened at Christmas.
They all did a fantastic job learning their lines and remembering the songs. It was superb. The juniors sang some carols and Christmas songs.
They were loud, clear and enjoyed by all. Then Class 3 did a poem called "A week to Christmas" by John Cotton. That was extremely clear and was also well remembered. Class 4 led everyone in the prayers with the Taize response "O lord hear my prayer". The night was fantastic.
Everyone commented on how amazing the performances were. It was all recorded and will be available on DVD. We raised money on the night to go to "Contact a family" a charity that links families together who have children with rare conditions.
