I wish to bring to the attention of your readers who are ex merchant seamen and attended the Sea Training School/College Gravesend.

The Gravesend Sea Training School was founded in 1918 following the First World to train boys aged 15/16 to join the Merchant Navy and help replace the men who were lost in the war.

Around 70,000 boys were trained there and it became known as the best sea training school in the world. Any readers who are interested in the Sea Training School/College (Gravesend) Association please contact me for further information.
