Stop the clock for Comic Relief
1:36pm Wednesday 25th March 2009 in Your School
A SCHOOL’S “active citizenship stop the clock day” didn’t prevent money from rolling in for Comic Relief.
More than £700 has been raised by pupils of Bury C of E High School following the event which involved normal lessons being suspended to allow the youngsters to take part in various projects.
The Year 8 pupils were involved in an African dance workshop provided by the Nzinga dance company, while other events included activities in music, drama and art.
All the projects were designed to highlight the key message and purpose of Red Nose Day and what it is to be an active citizen.
