A FAMILIAR face has taken over the helm of the corporation board at Bury College.
For vice-chairman Peter Nicol has been named as the new chairman, replacing Fred Bowen, who stepped down from the post after 12 years.
Mr Nicol lives in Bury with his wife and their two young sons. He is a partner at chartered accountancy firm Horsfield and Smith, in Walmersley Road, and a governor at Springside Primary School.
Joining Mr Nicol on the corporation board is Susan Jordan, who has been appointed as vice-chairman.
Ms Jordan is the chief executive of Six Town Housing and lives in Bolton.
