YOUNGSTERS at a Radcliffe school are going "quackers" over the arrival of two new chums.
St Mary's RC Primary has opened its doors to "homeless" duck Jemima and chicken, Paxo, who will certainly be providing animal magic for the excited pupils.
The duck and chicken were previously looked after by one of the children's parents who is leaving the area.
The Belgrave Street school was asked to provide a new home for Jemima and Paxo and now the new arrivals are making friends with staff and children.
They will live in the school garden where youngsters will collect eggs and be able to learn all they can about the animals.
