TOTTINGTON High School really "splurged" on its latest school production.
Pupils dressed as 1920s gangsters and molls, grabbed their splurge guns and custard pies and headed for Fat Sam's speakeasy for three performances of Alan Parker's musical Bugsy Malone.
About 60 students from across all year groups were involved in the sell-out shows. The musical tells the story of a penniless boxing promoter who becomes involved in an increasingly messy conflict between two rival gangs fighting to control the alcohol trade in prohibition era Chicago.
Performing arts teacher Marc Richardson, who directed the production, said he was proud of pupils' professional attitudes and performances.
