Knill happy with pre-season build-up

Bury beat Stockport in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Friday evening with goals from Andy Bishop, Stephen Dawson and Phil Marsh.
And Knill is happy with the way his squad is shaping up just over a week after returning for pre-season training.
“It’s going well,” he said. “The lads have come back in pretty good shape.
“Pre-season can be a tough time for the players so it’s important we try and keep things enjoyable.
“We have mixed things up a little bit since they came back, trying some different things to make sure it doesn’t go stale.
“We have been outdoor swimming in the rain and this week we’ll be doing some boxing. I like to try out different sports in training every once in a while.”
