Anane strike cheers Shakers

BURY maintained their unbeaten start to pre-season with a 1-0 victory over UniBond Divison One North side FC Halifax at The Shay last night.
Teenage winger Ricky Anane scored the only goal of the game in the 28th minute when he converted a pass from trialist Phil Marsh.
Bury dominated much of the play, but lacked a real cutting edge. Brian Barry-Murphy did go close, but his 25-yard shot smashed against the crossbar.
Cameron Belford impressed in goal for Alan Knill’s side with a string of fine saves.
