Bury are hustled out of it from the kick off: Bury 0 Mossley Hill 13

BURY never recovered after conceding an unconverted try within two minutes of the start in their North Lancs League One clash.

The home side knocked on from kick off and from the resulting scrum Mossley went cross field to score an unconverted try.

Fifteen minutes later, Bury wasted a penalty five metres from the try line and it got worse when they conceded a penalty in front of the their own posts which was easily converted.

The second period was a mirror image of the first. A Mossley scrum 15 metres out resulted in a simple passing move for a try which was, once again, unconverted.

Bury almost got on the scoresheet 10 minutes from time when, taking the scrum option from a penalty five metres out, they started to drive for the line, but the pick up from the base was stopped by the Mossley defence.

On Saturday, Bury entertain Oldham in a rearranged fixture. Kick off at Radcliffe Road is at 2.15pm.
