4:28pm

67 - GOAL - BRENTFORD 2 - Bury 1 - Marcello Trotta hammers home the rebound after Trevor Carson can only parry an initital shot from Tom Adeyemi following a Brentford corner.

4:25pm

65 - GOAL - Brentford 1 BURY 1 - Tom Soares thunders a half-volley into the top corner after racing on to a hopeful Carl Regan ball from defence. Soares showed a great turn of pace to leave marker Shaleum Logan for dead to create the chance.

4:24pm

Healy ready to come on, probably for Bishop, who looks to be blowing a bit, although Blackwell may go for all-out attack.

4:23pm

63 - Soares gets off a header at the back post but easy for Moore.

4:20pm

Bury pressing now, for the first time in the match really. Just had a shout for handball in the box, but most of the appeals came from the Bury fans behind the goal.

4:18pm

58 - Brentford keeper Simon Moore dives full length to claw out a Steven Schumacher free-kick from 30 yards.

4:17pm

4:06pm

K/O: Bury get second half underway. No changes for either side.

3:55pm

H/T: Brentford 0 Bury 0

It's not been pretty, but Bury will be happy to make it to the break still goalless.

Brentford have looked dangerous, but have wasted a a number of good chances.

Adeyemi had a shot blocked early in the half by Carson, while Douglas put a free header straight at the Bury keeper, and Trotta had a volley blocked and fluffed the clearest opportunity of the half unmarked on the penalty spot.

Bury have offered little to nothing going forward, with Thompson the only player able to get a shot on goal, although that bobbled harmlessly wide.

3:47pm

43 - Best spell of possession in the half for Bury, but their good passing move finally breaks down with a loose Nicky Ajose ball to Andy Bishop.

Donaldson then goes up the other end and curls a powerful effort just wide.

3:43pm

39 - Joe Skarz is absolutely done for pace by Donaldson, but the big forward's cross from the byline is well cut-out by Stephane Zubar.

3:40pm

35 – Soares gets away with a decent penalty shout after the ball hit his elbow in the box. The midfielder made no movement towards the ball with his arm, but he made sure he blocked its path.

3:35pm

29 - Shaleum Logan lets fly from 30 yards, but, despite beating the dive of Carson, just misses the far post.

30 - Trotta skies the best chance of the match, Logan's cross falling at the feet of the Bees striker unmarked on the penalty spot.

31 - Douglas is then given a free header at the back post, but his effort is easily held by Carson.

Poor defending from Bury...

3:25pm

21 - Zac Thompson gets off Bury's first shot, but his long distance effort bobbles wide.

3:18pm

14 - Stunning first time long ball from Bees midfielder Jonathan Douglas finds the run of Clayton Donaldson, who lays it off to Adam Forshaw, but his shot goes over.

3:17pm

A dry bobbly surface isn't helping either side get the ball down and play. Bury are trying but may be better served going long as they keep losing the ball in dangerous areas.

3:14pm

10 - Volley from Marcello Trotta is blocked. Not sure what Carl Regan knew about that, but managed to clear the trouble.

3:12pm

Bury are looking edgy early on, slack in possession and struggling to pick up Brentford's movement, but have not yet been punished.

3:08pm

5 - Adeyemi bursts through a sleeping Bury defence but his right-footed shot is blocked by Carson.

3:03pm

K/O: Brentford get the match underway...

3:02pm

The PA has the wrong spelling of some of the Bury players. My favourite is Steven Schmacher. He's pronounced it very well...

2:57pm

Minutes before kick-off here at Griffin Park. What price for back-to-back wins for Bury?

I think Blackwell would take a repeat of the 0-0 draw the two clubs managed at Gigg Lane on the opening day of the season.

But if the Shakers do sting the Bees, an even more unlikely outcome could see them escape the relegation zone for the first time since, well, it seems like forever.

For Bury to get out of the bottom four, results would have to go for them, with Oldham, Colchester and Scunthorpe all needing to lose.

Miracles can happen though, after all, Bury beat second-top Doncaster last time out...

2:24pm

Team news 2

Blackwell has again dropped Efe Sodje from the squad, so will start without any defensive cover on the bench, although Ebanks-Landell can drop back into defence if needed.

Worrall is deemed fit enough to take a place on the bench, but Blackwell has only been able to muster six bodies this week.

2:19pm

Team news

Carson is fit to start so Blackwell has gone with the same team that did so well at home to Doncaster last time out.

2:16pm

Forgot to mention that Tom Soares has finally been rewarded with a three-month deal after playing for a few months on non-contract terms.

The midfielder has certainly put his body on the line for the Shakers over ther winter and hopefully will continue to show the improvements he has made in recent weeks now he is a fully-fledged Bury players.

2:09pm

A warm welcome to Bury fans unable to make it to Griffin Park today.

I'm in place at the top of the Braemer Road stand just waiting for the team news to come in.

Chances are David Worrall will not be fit enough to figure as he recovers from a thigh strain picked up in training.

However, Bury manager Kevin Blackwell may be more worried about the fitness of keeper Trevor Carson, who was pulled out of the midweek internationals with a hand injury.

He will be have it tested before today's match, but Cameron Belford is ready and waiting to fill in after returning from a month's loan at Accrington Stanley.

Another spirited performance and a deserved point.Tommy Soares outstanding again and it looks that all it needed for Nick Ajose to get his mojo back was a return to the Shakers.Joe Skarz was given a chasing at times and maybe the signing of Euan Holden will provide some long overdue competition at left back. All in all a good week, the only bad news being that Oldham finally dispensed with Dickov. With that clown in charge they were certs for one of the relegation places, now I'm not so sure.

I've just re-watched the goals on the Football League Show and while our goals were terrific finshes the defending for both Brentford goals,in particular the second, was pretty shoddy. In the scramble for the second Bees goal Skarz turned his back on the attackers not once, not twice, but three times. When your colleagues are trying their hearts out against a classy side whose resources are so superior to ours that they've just returned from warm weather training in Dubai, that sort of attitude is not on.Anyone can make a mistake, but the first rule of defending is face up,if you're not willing to do that then you're letting your collagues down.

This is an excellent result from very much an in form side. Great to have Nicky back and points picked up are always valuable, especially at promotion chasing teams. So, now it is Sheffield United, who have been spotty recently. 3 points here would be a HUGE step towards safety.
Oldham, still candidates, so with Colchester, Shrews, Scunny....

Well done lads!!
