Sodje out but Ebanks-Landell extends his stay
6:56pm Tuesday 12th February 2013 in Sport By Craig Nelson
BURY have had a busy day behind the scenes at Gigg Lane in the run up to tonight’s big match at home to Sheffield United, loaning out Efe Sodje and securing a longer term deal for Ethan Ebanks-Landell.
Sodje, aged 40, has been picked up by Blue Square Bet Premier side Barrow on loan until March 19 and will go straight into their squad for tonight’s match against Southport.
Ebanks-Landell, meanwhile, has been allowed to extend his loan deal at Gigg Lane until the end of the season by parent club Wolves.
The 20-year-old utility player has become an integral part of Bury’s new 4-2-3-1 system, sitting in a holding midfield role screening the back four.
He also provides manager Kevin Blackwell with important cover at centre-back and has shown steady improvement during his 12 matches so far in a Bury shirt.
