83 - Andy Bishop heads a cross over

84 – SUB - Sergio Torres on Mike Jones

4:40pm

80 - SUB - David Healy replaces Nicky Ajose

4:26pm

Other than a few scrambles from corners, Bury are failing to put any real pressure on the Crawley goal.

They are seeing more of the ball, but not managing to do a great deal with it.

4:20pm

62 - Craig Jones just fails to connect with an Ethan Ebanks-Landell flick-on from a Joe Skarz cross.

4:18pm

Bury go 4-4-2 - Andy Bishop joins Craig Fagan up front while Ajose goes to the left, Craig Jones to the right and Steven Scumacher partners Mark Carrington in centre midfield.

4:16pm

56 - Andy Bishop replaceds Zac Thompson

4:13pm

55 - SUB - Craig Jones replaces Tom Soares

4:12pm

Nightmare day fort Bury continues as Tom Soares pulls up grabbing his hamstring.

4:08pm

49 - Fagan fails to connect with the ball properly after a Crawley clearance lands at his feet in the box but the Bury striker could only hit the bouncing ball into the floor.

4:05pm

47 - GOAL - Bury 0 Crawley 2 - Jamie Procter plants a towering header past Carson after getting on the end of a Mike Jones cross following a Crawley corner.

4:03pm

Crawley get the second half underway

3:48pm

Bury 0 Crawley Town 1 - boos ring out at half time after Jamie Procter's 17th-minute scuffed effort sends Kevin Blackwell's men into the break with plenty to think about.

3:42pm

42 - Fagan's backpost header goes wide after a deep cross from Thompson.

3:40pm

40 - Mike Jones's bobbling shot is easy for Carson.

3:39pm

39 - Zac Thompson's volley from the edge of the box is well-held by Paul Jones in the Crawley goal after the Bury midfielder had seized on a half-cleared corner.

3:37pm

The dry bobbly surface isn't helping, as Bury look unable to control the ball, or they may just be nervous in possession.

3:35pm

It's hard to tell, but I think Bury are trying to play with three at the back when they have the ball, as Worrall is bombing forward at ever opportunity. Not a bad idea, but it's leaving them exposed when they inevitably lose the ball.

3:33pm

Bury look to be unsure of their positions, with Thompson and Carrington just getting in each other's way.

32- YELLOW - Craig Fagan booked for bringing down Nicky Adams after Crawley broke following a promising Bury attack.

33 - Hearts in mouth then as the referee looked to have pointed to the spot before it became clear the linesman had flagged for offside against Crawley, rather than a foul.

3:30pm

Disjointed performance from Bury so far and the natives are getting restless - not that there are too many here today!

3:28pm

26 - Claims for a penalty waved away by referee Richard Clark - Nicky Ajose was being held at the back post by Matt Sadler as he attempted to get on the end of a Tom Soares cross.

27 - Procter whizzes a cross-shot across goal from byline on the edge of the six yard box.

3:22pm

Ebanks-Landell has gone from rock-solid on Tuesday night to a jibbering wreck today. A wild attempted clearance that skewed off his left foot just produced mass groans from the crowd.

Needs a calm head in there today as Crawley control possession and pass round Bury at will.

3:17pm

17 - Bury 0 CRAWLEY TOWN 1 - Jamie Procter scuffs an effort past Trevor Carson and into the bottom corner of the Bury goal after riding a wild lunge from Ethan Ebanks-Landell before sailing into the box to get his shot off.

3:14pm

3:12pm

10 - Searching ball forward from Ebanks-Landell from the back had David Worrall on the move, but it was too close to the keeper.

Bury are looking decidedly nervous in defence, despite Barker only going with Procter up front. New signing Jake Taylor is in the centre of a midfield four, with captain Dannie Bulman playing a holding role in a 4-1-4-1 formation, matching up with Bury's 4-2-3-1 system.

11 - Curling effort from Procter was always going high from 25 yards.

3:05pm

6 - Jake Taylor breaks the off-side trap but his volley on the turn inside the box is palmed away by Trevor Carson - should have buried that one.

3:04pm

4 - Great turn by Tom Soares sets him clear, but the midfielder's ball for striker Craig Fagan is well over-cooked and goes out for a goal-kick.

3:01pm

1 - A mistake by Ethan Ebanks-Landell almost lets Jamie Procter in but his strike is blocked and Bury clear the danger.

3:00pm

Pre-match huddle for Bury - they wound up for this one - as captain Steven Schumacher gets the match underway...

2:47pm

Team news - Crawley Town

Richie Barker has admitted that he expects a hostile reception today after returning  to Gigg Lane for the first time since walking out on Bury to take over at Crawley five days before the start of the season.

He also has three former Bury players in his ranks - Nicky Adams and Mike Jones start on the flanks, while Lateef Elford-Alliyu is on the bench.

Bury winger Nicky Ajose also has links with both sides after starting the season on loan at Crawley.

Barker will be hoping to repeat the victory Crawley had against Bury in the reverse fixture, winning 3-2 at the Broadfield Stadium. However, he will have to do that with two debutants in the ranks - centre-back Connor Essam and striker Jake Taylor, who was brought in on loan from Reading on Thursday.

2:42pm

Team news - Bury

Kevin Blackwell has the luxury of naming an unchanged side from Tuesday's shock win at Swindon.

The Bury boss has resisted any temptation to recall Efe Sodje from his loan at Barrow as cover for the injured Stephane Zubar.

Mark Hughes, who could also have been brought back from a loan spell at Accrington, picked up a torn calf muscle on Tuesday.

As a result, Blackwell is sticking with the partnersip of young loan defenders Ethan Ebanks-Landell and Ashley Eastham at centre-back, while winger David Worrall continues to fill in at right-back in preference to Carl Regan.

The only change on the bench is the return of Andy Bishop, after missing the trip to Swindon with flu.

"BLACKWELL OUT !!!!!!!!"

Your bunch of losers aren't even putting up a fight. It's obvious that you couldn't organise a booze up on a stag night party.
To think that the plodding Barker has now instrumented the double over us TWICE is absolutely shameful.

We need a manager with a winning mentality for the remaining games.
What happened to the super heroes from Tuesday night who fought tooth and nail for those precious 3 points?.

8 points is a mountain to climb.I said it before and i'll say it again. This manager has not improved our prospects since he's been here.We are now in a worse position than when he took charge.

Kevin Blackwell is only any use when he has large squads at clubs with bigger budgets.

He thought that he could create the same size squad here so there could be room for error, not a hope in hell.

The 2400 who turned out were probably expecting the worst and hoping for the best.

TAXI FOR KEVIN BLACKWELL NOW MR.CHAIRMAN ACCEPT THAT YOU THOUGHT THAT YOU HAD THE RIGHT MAN BUT IT HASN'T WORKED OUT AS YOU WOULD HAVE WISHED."Well you said as much in your recent interview didn't you regarding KB "WE EMPLOYED WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS THE BEST MANAGER FOR THE JOB".

"Oh did Kevin not think to watch & mark the dangerous PROCTOR.He was the player who was in the centre of that controversial game in the JPT. that we scored against PNE when we should have returned the ball back to them after his injury. What did we do?,we went on and scored .Perhaps he had his own personal axe to grind with us.You don't notice these sub plots Kevin because you're not looking for them. It's players with something to prove that often are the difference between winning and losing. Not that we would have scored today.

My husband Mesha, he watch this game. He watch Bury for 50 year or more! He say, why play winger at right back? Why get rid of quality midfield player who creates things to happen? Why not play our best defender, Efe. (He may be old but he best we have.) Why play 1 striker when we want to win, Going for no score draw at home not good tactic! We cannot win it back on away leg! Why do all Bury forwards play with lead boots on? Mesha he say our grand daughter, she run faster than all of them! Fix it Mr Blackwell. You make Mesha sad.... and mad! He say he continue to pay his 20 pound to watch this rubbish

Mesha he also say, Radcliffes Borough good to watch. United of Manchester not bad and he say easily half the price to get in at Gigg as Bury and the pies are the same.No horse!?

I think your English grammar is embarrassing Lisasmit, so please don't write anything else if it's going to be written in the same way.

Rant all you like folks, Blackwell ain't going anywhere this season. Who in their right mind's going to come in now and take this job on anyway?

One up front when you're at home and needing wins.....that just about sums things up i think.

Time for savage cuts with the manager and all his staff being first out of the door.As for compensation if I performed like these I would be sacked without a penny by my employer and these should be no different. Why should you have to pay up contracts of useless people?Put a senior player in charge until the end of season then plan in the summer for staying in league two and not dropping out of the league alltogether never to return.

nomoresurfin says...
7:28pm Tue 5 Mar 13

Contracts have to be paid up sense2,but Blackwell and the equally useless Shirtliff should be put on gardening leave and Sodje should be recalled from Barrow and put in charge until the end of the season. At least we know Efe has great enthusiasm and a genuine fondness for the club,Blackwell has neither he's a poisonous little man and Fenton & co could have hardly signed a worse manager if they'd tried.

What does it take to be a football manager ? Take Bill Shankly as an example: A simple, honest and humble man. He understood how to get the best out of average players by means of psychology. Mourinho and Fergie are able to do the same. But you also need to have the enthusiasm, passion and desire to win and a certain tactical nous. It's not that difficult when you think about it.
