Bury duo continue bid for ABA glory

TWO Bury ABC youngsters are through to the quarter-finals of the ABA Senior Championships after impressive victories at Gorton Leisure Centre.
Nineteen-year-old Osman Aslam beat Steven Eilbeck, of Barrow ABC, on a split decision in the 48-51 kilos division.
Club-mate Louis Allison, aged 20, won in identical fashion when he boxed Andre Anderson, of Royal Oak and Baguley ABC, at 60-63.5k.
The duo will fight opponents from Yorkshire on Sunday as they bid to continue their glory run.
There was disappointment, however, for 29-year-old boxer and ABC coach Brian Rennie, who lost on points at 71-75k to Martin Mongon, of Bridgewater Salford ABC.
