Bury 2 Stevenage 0
9:44pm Tuesday 19th March 2013 in Sport By Craig Nelson
CRAIG Jones and Jonson Clarke-Harris showed perfect timing to open their accounts for Bury, slotting home two late goals to earn the Shakers’ first win in four matches.
The pair helped pull Bury off the foot of the League One table and keep their faint hopes of League One survival alive, cutting the gap to safety to six points.
Jones turned home an Ethan-Ebanks-Landell drive on 83 minutes before second half substitute Clarke-Harris raced clear of the Stevenage defence to fire home in injury time.
The late double helped spare the blushes of Bury captain Steven Schumacher, who had a weak penalty saved in the first half.
