Brian Jensen becomes Bury's 25th summer signing
FORMER Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen has signed a short-term deal with Bury.
The 38-year-old Danish stopper goes straight into the squad for tomorrow night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at League One Port Vale.
Jensen had been training at Gigg Lane for the last few months after being released by Burnley and was expected to sign up earlier before the collapse of current Shakers keeper Trevor Carson's proposed move to Bradford City.
With first-choice keeper Rob Lainton undergoing a scan on a shoulder injury that kept him out of Saturday's 4-1 win against Cheltenham Town, Jensen will give much-needed cover.
"The vastly experience keeper will give competition for the keeper's shirt, Brian joins us from playing at Championship side Burnley last season and will take squad number 21."
