Bury sign Rotherham's Danny Hylton on loan
MANAGERLESS Bury have signed their 27th player of the season after agreeing a deal to take Rotherham United striker Danny Hylton on a month's loan.
The 24-year-old London-born target man scored 36 goals in 178 games during seven years at Aldershot Town.
But his final year at the Recreation Ground was marred by controversy after he was handed an eight-match ban in May last year for a racist outburst.
Hylton signed a two-year deal for Rotherham in the summer, but has so far only played one match for the League One side - a 1-0 win at Brentford earlier this month.
A statement released by Bury FC said: "The club can confirm that Danny Hylton has joined on loan until November 23 to add another dimension to the front line.
"Danny is known as a strong and powerful striker with a good professional outlook of the game and has gone straight into the squad for today's training and will travel to Portsmouth."
It was confirmed yesterday that former Bury striker Ronnie Jepson will take charge of the club for the trip to Fratton Park.
He was promoted from assistant manager to caretaker boss following the sacking of Kevin Blackwell.
