Bury Ladies 1s 3-2 Didsbury Greys

The ladies first team had to fight hard on Saturday, as they came from behind to take all three points.

Both sides looked dangerous going forward, but it was the visitors who took the lead with 20 minutes gone. However, Bury responded quickly and a fine solo goal from Sally Marsden levelled the scores.

Driving though the middle of the pitch, the midfielder broke into the circle before crashing home a powerful drive.

The second half saw Bury quickly take the lead, as Beth Topping, pictured, continued her good form, grabbing her 11th goal of the season. However, a mix up in the Bury defence allowed Didsbury to level the scores and put the match in the balance.

But, it was the home side who took all three points as Joanne Miller claimed her sixth of the season to ensure Bury set up an exciting clash against leaders City of Manchester next weekend.

A Bury win against Manchester would put them one point clear at the top of division two. .
