THERE were yet more comings and goings at Bury today, with loan striker Daniel Nardiello signing a permanent deal and defender William Edjenguele released by mutual consent.

Nardiello, who had been due to return to parent club Rotherham United at the end of the season, signed an 18-month contract, with the option to extend it by a further 12 months.

The 31-year-old, who has scored five goals in 12 appearances since joining in November, said: “This is good for me and good for the club. It gives me that added security and with my family being so close and living in Bury, it’s just perfect all round.”

While Nardiello was excited about his future at the JD Stadium, Edjenguele was philosophical about his departure.

The 26-year-old centre-back, who scored three goals in 23 appearances since joining in August from Coventry, left a message to the fans from his Twitter account: “Thanks for the kind messages, unfortunate it didn’t work out. Time for a new chapter.”

Nardiello is the ninth player to sign for Bury since David Flitcroft took over as manager last December, while Edjenguele is the 13th player to be shown the door.
