BURY have signed winger Lewis Young until the end of the season.

Out of contract winger Young has signed on a permanent deal.

The 24-year-old has been training with the Shakers for a few weeks and has impressed David Flitcroft with his pace.

He is available to play in tomorrow's trip to Cheltenham.

Shakers boss David Flitcroft said of the former Watford, Burton and Yeovil Town player: "When we lost Temitope Obadeyi to Plymouth, we lost that unpredictable edge and pace, and Lewis represents that because he does have some real pace about him.

"He is good at making the correct decisions in the final third of the pitch and that is something that I want in my side.

"With the pace we have in the team we have a real energy going forward.

"He came to Mansfield with us and watched the game; he knows that we play the right kind of football for him.

"He’s not the finished product yet, and that’s why it’s important for him to come to the right club and he knows that.

"What he will give us is a great impact from the bench. Sometimes it’s a case of being at the right place at the right time and Lewis has just found himself at the right place at the right time. "As a management team we believe we can get the best out of him and we will put him in a happy place.

"He is very quick, that we have seen already, he can get in behind defenders and he can hurt teams and we all look forward to seeing him in action."
