DAVE Turrell from Holland Court in Radcliffe took on former World BDO Darts champion, Scott Waites, in a darts competition held at Bury’s Coral bookmakers.
His challenge was to score more points than the 2013 world champion with nine darts than Waites could with six.
In the first throw, Turrell scored 100 to Waites’ 45. Turrell again beat the carpenter in the second throw, scoring 85-45.
Turrell did not need to throw again as he had already won the contest.
His prize was a £20 free bet in the shop.
