WALSHAW cricketer Kate Cross helped England’s women win their first warm-up match for the World Twenty20 Cup against Pakistan in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old, pictured, bowled a maiden in the first over as England, who were runners-up in 2012, restricted Pakistan to 106-6 from their 20 overs.
In reply, Charlotte Edwards’ side reached their target with one ball to spare, finishing on 107-8 with Cross not called upon with the bat.
England next face New Zealand tomorrow, also in Bangladesh’s capital, ahead of Monday’s tournament opener against West Indies in Sylhet.
