Four youngsters from Bury Amateur Boxing Club were in action in the quarter-finals of the schoolboy championships at Croxteth Sports Centre in Liverpool on Sunday.
Three of the young boxers took part in the minors section with 12-year-old Rehman Afzal winning unanimously on points over Charlie Molloy from Gemini ABC in his 48.5kg bout.
Zain Ahmed won his 40kg fight on a split decision over Jack Shenan from Birkenhead, while Ali Akbar-Javid won unanimously on points over Lewis Nolan from Hyton ABC in his 41.5kg fight.
All three will now box in the semi-finals at Croxteth on Sunday.
Muhammad Harris lost on points to Liam Moon from Everton Red Triangles in his Class B, 41.5kg fight.
This weekend Brian Rennie is in action at the senior championships at Walkden Sixth Form College.
