For the first time in its 30-year history, Edenfield Badminton Club has been promoted after the A team won the Rossendale Badminton League Second Division title.

In the last three years, the club has undergone major changes which have seen its membership treble.

It has developed coaching programmes, works with young people and has three teams of varying levels with members aged between 13 and 70 years old.

As well as Edenfield A’s success, Keith Last and Andrew Curson have also been named winners of the men’s doubles handicapped competition.

Edenfield has an active and lively social club who play every Monday at Haslingden Sports Centre from 8pm-10pm.

All abilities are welcome and coaching and support is available.
