BURY will go into their final match of the season at Morecambe on Saturday without a left-back after Burton Albion today recalled Chris Hussey.

Shakers boss David Flitcroft had opened tentative talks with the on-loan defender over a permanent deal.

But they will now be put on hold as the 24-year-old defender re-joins his parent club to help with their quest for promotion via the League Two play-offs.

Flitcroft, however, has not ruled out reopening the talks once Hussey's contract at the Pirelli Stadium runs out in the summer.

"Chris Hussey is Burton’s player," said the Bury boss.

"Out of respect for Burton we have got to let them get on with their business and then try, if he is right for us, to negotiate something with him once the season has finished.”

Hussey has made 11 appearances for the Shakers since joining in March, scoring two goals and adding a number of assists.
