FORMER Bury RUFC youngster Liam Launders is on a high after helping Hawick finish in sixth place in their first season in the Scottish Premier League.
It is the club’s highest league finish since they won the division in 2002.
The 20-year-old prop forward, pictured, who played for Bury juniors aged 13, has also been awarded the Green Room player-of-the-season award, voted for by the supporters club.
The former Tottington High School pupil was part of the Hawick team that gained promotion last season thanks to a thrilling 39-38 play-off final win against Championship rivals Dundee HSFP.
