Hull arrived at Goshen track looking to add to their points tally and league position while Bury were looking to revenge their early season defeats. A great start for the home side saw Danny Taylor and Chris Parish combine for a 7-3 over former British Champion Andy Angell.

Ben Scranage and James Elston scored seven against Schofield and Will Owen Neil Howarth added six points in the next race. Parish held off Angell in the fourth as Bury slammed in three maximums in three races to effectively end the contest.

Angell took Hull’s first race win in the eighth, but Bury had a 26-point advantage at halfway. There was no respite for Hull after the interval with some excellent team work from Bury adding three more maximums.

There was a terrific race in the 13th with Howarth just holding off Angell with Owen taking third place. Dawid Renc completed a four-ride maximum in the 14th while Angell took race 16.

Bury finished with further heat wins to run out 115-64 winners.
