GREENMOUNT were given a real scare before finally beating bottom side Eagley by just four runs.
Akbar Ur-Rehman hit 75 and captain Andy Kerr made 39 as Greenmount set a target of 230-7, although the visitors’ pro, Agar Salman, helped keep it down with 4-96. Salman then hit 90 and Asif Bhojani made 77 as Eagley came very close to a first win of the season.
Mark Stewart (3-75) bowled out Salman and Phil Ingram claimed the other key wicket of Bhojani as Eagley hit eight from the final over to finish just short on 226-6.
