BURY clinched the Preston Summer League title on Thursday as they defeated leaders Morecambe to claim top spot.
Bury raced into a three-goal lead with James Oakes, Simon Major and Piers Smith-Hughes providing the finishes.
However, some sloppy play allowed Morecambe back into the game with two short corner strikes before the break.
The result was sealed with 10 minutes remaining as Toby Carr-Brown launched an attack which saw Oakes feed Smith-Hughes to grab his second goal of the game to claim the win and the title.
