Bury's youth team progressed into the FA Youth Cup Third Round to set up a tie with Premier League side Manchester United after beating Port Vale 4-3 after extra time, writes Michael Henson.

The Shakers had a set back early on as Mackenzie Faulkner tapped in from close range in the 2nd. Bury hit back in the 10th minute when George Miller capitalized on Faulkner's mistake to level the scores.

Port Vale regained the lead in the 39th minute through Billy Reeves before two late goals from Jake Durham and Scott Burgess saw Bury take a 3-2 lead at half time.

It looked like the young Shakers side would seal progression inside 90 minute but Port Vale equalised in the sixth minute of added time to send it into extra time.

Miller made it 4-3 with his second goal of the game in the first minute of extra time and the Shakers saw out the game to progress into the next round with a mouth watering the against the Red Devils.
