BURY missed the chance to close the gap on the top three after Morecambe came from behind to steal victory with two goals in the final 10 minutes.

On-loan Bolton Wanderers striker Tom Eaves had given the Shakers a deserved lead in the 17th minute, stabbing home his first goal for the club from a yard out after Danny Nardiello had turned an Andrew Tutte cross goalwards.

Morecambe keeper Danny Ward denied Bury what would have been a deserved second goal with some superb saves from Danny Mayor, Nardiello and Craig Jones.

Ryan Lowe also had a goal ruled out for offside before Jones mis-kicked with the goal gaping.

And those missed chances came back to haunt the Shakers.

Two Shrimps substitutes did the damage.

Padraig Amond fired in on 80 minutes after the ball broke to him on the edge of the box.

And Paul Mullin tapped in the winner five minutes later when a poor clearance from Bury keeper Nick Pope was turned back towards goal by Jamie Devitt.

Bury remain in fourth place, four points behind Wycombe in third, who also lost, against leaders Burton.
