RAMSBOTTOM Cricket Club showed there is plenty more to come after their juniors mirrored the success of the senior squad.

While Daryn Smit's first teamers were busy winning the club's sixth Lancashire League title in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season, the Under-15s were enjoying celebrations of their own.

Ashley Parkinson's all-conquering side went a step further, claiming the league and cup double.

After winning all four ties to clinch the cup earlier in the season, they secured the Lancashire League Under-15s title in the final game, ending their victorious campaign with just with just two defeats.

Assistant manager Iain Round said: "The boys were a credit to the management team throughout the season.

"I was particularly pleased with the number of under-13s players who stepped in and performed so well.

"Many of the juniors also played for the full senior teams in the season."
