JACK Hudson’s 21 points could not help Lancashire to victory at Bradford, as the Spinners ended their National Trophy campaign with a third straight defeat.

Mark Rangeley added 18 for the Spinners as they went down 92-76.

Tied midway through the opening quarter, Lancashire were outscored 14-4 with Bradford grabbing a 22-14 lead that they did not relinquish.

The Spinners, who trailed by 14 points at half time, cut their deficit to six with 1min 20secs remaining, but Bradford reeled off 11 straight points to close out the game and claim their first victory of the competition.

After averaging just 27 per cent shooting from the floor in their opening two Trophy defeat against Manchester Magic and Northumbria, Lancashire converted 30 from 64 (46.9 percent) against Bradford, including 10 three-pointers.

Coach Neal Hopkins will hope the improvement continues when they start their league season on Saturday against London Lituanica at Castle Leisure Centre.
