LEE Clark says it will be business as usual for Bury after Port Vale sucked them back into the League One relegation dogfight tonight.
Former Bury winger Chris Eagles scored the winner for fourth-bottom Vale in a 1-0 victory at Walsall that lifted them to within two points of the Shakers.
The survival battle will now go down to the final game of the season, when Bury travel to Southend and Vale are at Fleetwood Town.
But Clark is happy that their fate is still in their own hands.
“Nothing changes for us (after tonight's result),” Clark told Bury Times. “We will still need another good performance and positive result at Southend.
“It will be business as usual. The players came in today to train and they will come in tomorrow.
“The other clubs, Port Vale and Gillingham, would much prefer to be in our position. It is still in our own hands, we are not affected by anybody else.”
Bury, in 19th, are one point ahead of fifth-bottom Gillingham and have a far superior goal difference to both the Gills and Vale.
That means the Shakers would only go down if they lost at Southend and both Vale and Gillingham, who travel to Northampton Town, win.
