BURY FC Women's second team made it through to the second round of the Division One Cup with a 3-2 win at Crompton FC Ladies.

Sarah Knight converted a through-ball from Louisa Ellison to put Bury ahead but they went it the break trailing 2-1.

Knight added a second of the game to bring the Shakers back level, pouncing after the Crompton goalkeeper spilled a ball into the box from Rosin Yildirim.

Yildrim scored the winner 15 minutes from time, slotting into the empty net after the home stopper had collided with Bury's Mery Sadam as she squared the ball.

The Crompton keeper stayed down and was taken to hospital for treatment on a knee injury, but the goal stood after the officials ruled out appeals for a foul.

The first team, meanwhile, maintained their place at the top of Division One North in the North West Women's Regional League after beating bottom team Burscough Dynamo 10-2.
