BURY will kick off their League Two campaign with a home game against Yeovil Town on August 4.

Ryan Lowe’s Shakers face three away games in the opening month of the season – at MK Dons, Lincoln and Crawley – with a first-ever league game against Forest Green thrown in for good measure.

Festive fixtures see Bury host promoted Tranmere Rovers on December 22 and then make two trips to Nottinghamshire to face Mansfield on Boxing Day and Notts County on December 29.

Crewe come to the Energy Check Stadium on New Year’s Day and the Shakers will also finish the season on home turf, with Port Vale visiting on May 4.

Other local ties to look out for are Oldham Athletic away on December 15 and at home on February 23, and Macclesfield Town away on November 3 and at home on March 2.
