FIVE Bury players helped the Greater Manchester Cricket League to victory over the Liverpool Competition in an inter-league friendly at Heywood.
Woodbank's Gavin Nichol scored a brilliant 95, ably backed up by Greenmount’s Ryan Barker who made 46.
GMCL, who also had Harry Singh, Steve Dearden (both Woodbank) and Saif Bhojani (Walshaw) from Bury clubs in their side, finished on 212 before restricting Liverpool to around 40 runs fewer.
