THERE was a great turnout of 31 Radcliffe AC seniors for the popular evening Ramsbottom Summer Mile and an enthusiastic group of the club’s juniors running the 1k Fun Run and getting themselves a medal.

Chris Whittaker clocked 5mins 11secs and was in ninth place, Donna Cartwright (V40) was second woman in 6:04 and Jenny Yates (V50) was third woman, running 6:07.

Organised by Ramsbottom Running Club the event was held on a fast flat out and back course in Nuttall Park and because of the large field, competitors set off in waves.
