STARS of the past are set to come out and show their support for the stricken Shakers on Sunday.

With money being raised for the club’s future in whatever form it takes, around 30 favourites have signed up to don their boots for the Legends against All Stars encounter at Radcliffe FC.

Below is a full rundown of who will be in action in front of a sold out crowd of around 2,100 fans.

Richie Baker

Joined Bury in 2006 from Preston North End, amassing more 100 appearances in midfield. Now 31, still playing in non-league.

Cameron Belford

Promotion-winning goalkeeper in 2011 is still only 30 and is currently on loan at FC United of Manchester from Nuneaton Borough.

Andy Bishop

Striker had seven seasons as a Shaker between 2006 and 2013, scoring 83 goals in all competitions.

Wayne Brown

Popular goalkeeper made 86 appearances between 2008 and 2010. Now Oxford’s goalkeeping coach.

Darren Bullock

Midfielder scored nine goals in 63 appearances in just shy of three years at Gigg Lane between 1999 and 2001.

David Buchanan

Left back came through the youth ranks and went on to make just shy of 200 appearances for the club. Now with Chesterfield at the age of 33.

Paul Butler

The promotion-winning centre half joined The Shakers in 1996 before moving on to Sunderland for £1 million two years later.

Paul Challinor

Was with the club during the 1999-2000 season.

Lee Connell

Homegrown player was with the club from 2000 to 2004 and covered many positions during his time with the club. Also scored the odd stunning goal.

Ryan Cresswell

Central defender made 59 appearances between 2008 and 2010, scoring one goal. Now with Bradford  Park Avenue in the National League North.

Nick Daws

Made more than 350 appearances between 1992 and 2001 including a run of 233 consecutive appearances. Most recently manager of Scunthorpe.

Martyn Forrest

Academy product made 120 appearances for the club between 1996 and 2003.

Andy Gray

Former Crystal Palace man made 21 appearances for the club after arriving from Falkirk in the 1997-98 season.

Glynn Hurst

Striker initially arrived on loan in September 2016 before making move permanent. Scored 27 goals for the club.  

Jason Jarrett

Midfielder scored five goals in 70 appearances across two seasons with the club between 2000 and 2002. Had a stint as a referee post retirement.

Tom Kennedy

The full back started his professional career with The Shakers in 2002, making more than 140 appearances and is still playing at Ramsbottom.

Ryan Lowe

A man who needs little introduction. Promotion winning player and manager will make the trip to feature just a day after Plymouth’s home game against Carlisle.

Andy Morrell

Striker scored 18 goals in two seasons at Gigg Lane between 2008 and 2010. A former Wrexham and Tamworth manager.

Phil Picken

A promotion winner in 2011, made 85 appearances for the club before being forced to retire through injury in 2014.

Shaun Reid

Peter’s younger brother  joined Bury in 1995 from Rochdale and made 21 appearances before moving on to Chester.

Steven Schumacher

Lowe’s right-hand man scored, he scored 25 goals in more than 120 appearances for the club. A captain who became a promotion-winning assistant at Gigg Lane.

Paul Scott

Former captain, centre half, right back and midfielder Scott was a Shaker from 2004 to 2010 and made more than 200 appearances for the club.

Gareth Seddon

Top scorer in two of his three seasons between 2001 and 2004. Now an agent.

Danny Swailes

Central defender Swailes played nearly 200 times for the club between 1996 and 2005.

Dean West

Made 122 appearances for the club between 1995 and 1999. Now a scout for Lincoln City.

Simon Whaley

Winger began his career with the Shakers back in 2002, scoring 11 goals in 85 appearances. Still playing with Eagley in the West Lancashire League at the age of 34.

Paul Williams

Defender was with the club from 1998 to 2002, making 35 appearances after initially joining on loan.

Andy Woodward

Defender made more than 100 appearances between 1994 and 1999. Became the first footballer to speak out about abuse in the game and is working to help others who have also been victims.

Non-playing

Several others will be in attendance including record goalscorer Craig Madden, recent cult hero Nicky Adams, Lenny Johnrose, Stevie Johnson, Rob Matthews, David Worrall and Ian Hughes.
