Muhammad Ali was in action at the three nations finals tournament in Edinburgh on Friday.
The youngster, from Bury Amateur Boxing Club, won unanimously on points over Kane Shepherd from Wales at the Meadowbank Sports Centre to reach Saturday’s final. In the final Ali won on points over Stephen Boil from Scotland.
He will now box in the World Youth Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria in April.
On Saturday, the regional finals of the Greater Manchester Schoolboys Championships took place at Walkden Sixth Form College Raymond Afzal got a bye into the next round in his 48-48.5kg weight, while Zane Ahmed won on points over D Marsly from Dynamics ABC in his 38-40kg bout.
Ali Akbar-Javid stopped his opponent in the second round and Muhammad Harris stopped his opponent J Haynes in the third round of their Class B, 41kg fight.
The quartet will box fighters from Liverpool on March 23 at Croxten Sports Centre.
