IBRAHIM Nadim will fight in the final of the National Association Boys and Girls Club Championships tomorrow.
The 16-year-old Bury ABC boxer won his semi-final bout against Husan Hussain, of Wellington ABC, in Bridlington Spa last weekend.
The young fighter beat his opponent on points in the 46-48kg contest to claim a place in Friday’s national final.
Fellow club member, Mauvia Nadim, also 16, heads to Germany today after being picked to represent England in a Box Cup event in Germany.
Elsewhere, 13-year-olds Rehman Afzal and Zain Ahmed took part in a show night at Mechanics Theatre in Burnley.
There was mixed results for the duo who were up against home opponents from Sandygate ABC.
Afzal beat Jaden Franklin on a split decision in last Saturday’s contest, but Ahmed lost on a unanimous points decision against Joe Crawford.
