UNSWORTH fell to back-to-back defeats last weekend, losing at Milnrow in the Central Lancashire League before being knocked out of the semi-finals of the Wood Cup at home to Norden.
Milnrow broke loose in the latter stages of their innings to set an imposing target of 231-7, including an unbeaten knock of 140 from 138 balls by their pro Rudy Second.
The Dragons were bowled out for 154 in reply, with only Abid Fazil, who made 54, able to turn a good start into a decent total.
Controlled bowling from Alex Blake (4-31) and Jon Wiggans (3-23) restricted Norden to 189-9 in the cup, but Unsworth fell 28 runs short as pro Chris Williams top-scored with 31.
