Ramsbottom Cricket Club’s junior teams have enjoyed another successful season that has seen over 60 children represent the club’s 7 junior teams in the Lancashire Leagues.
6 of the club’s junior players have represented Lancashire and 12 were selected to play for the Bury district team during 2014.
JJ Fielding, Will Turner, Brad Fielding, Chris Round, Nick Round and Owen Collinge all made appearances for the county side, whilst Nick Round and Will Turner also represented the Greater Manchester West under 13’s XI as they took victory in the area final. They were joined in the squad for the showpiece final at Old Trafford by fellow Ramsbottom player Finley Thomas.
All of Ramsbottom’s junior members were also treated to an individual coaching session with Nathan Wood, a former red-rose player and current Lancashire age-group coach. This was provided by main club sponsor John Fox of Liberty SIPP.
