ASTLEY Bridge shocked title hopefuls Greenmount by defeating the Hamer Cup champions by two wickets.
Andy Kerr top-scored with 78 for Brandlesholme Road side but they were bowled out for 183 with Amal Athulathmudali and Syd De Silva taking four wickets apiece.
Professional Athulathmudali turned his hand the to bat and scored 58 as Astley Bridge achieved the target with two wickets to spare – pushing Greenmount down to fourth.
Egerton increased the gap at the top of the Bolton League to two points with a win at home to Westhoughton and Farnworth are up to second in the table after recording a five-wicket victory against Eagley.
