Kathryn’s honour

BURY-born cricketer Kathryn Cross has been named in the England Women’s Academy Squad for a series of matches next month.
The 16-year-old all-rounder, who became the first female to be awarded an Academy cricket contract by Lancashire last summer, is part of a 14-player squad that will face Ireland and England on August 2 and 3 respectively. The team then play South Africa in a Twenty20 game at Reading on August 4.
