They were selected following intensive trials held over a three weeks in July at the centre’s training ground next to the Tameside Stadium at Ashton-under-Lyne.
The first match of the season was a close-fought 4-4 draw against Everton, involving all seven of the girls. Manchester dominated the early staged and were only denied by a late equaliser. The girls are Ella Coote and Keri O’Loughlin from Guardian Angels RC Primary, Eleanor Bailey, India Barrington and Rebecca Lloyd from Summerseat Methodist Primary, Chloe Fell from Holcombe Brook Primary and Ellie Gaunt from Chesham Primary.
