WALSHAW edged a five-goal thriller against Avro at Sycamore Road.
In the early stages, the home side bossed proceedings and, with Jordan Hulme particularly impressive on the right flank, it only looked a matter of time before they took the lead.
But, on 25 minutes, it was Avro who took a shock lead when a hopeful punt into the area was headed home by Crook.
Walshaw replied almost immediately when Danny Rose hit a speculative effort which looped over the keeper.
It was soon two when a sweet move on the edge of the box saw Lee Chapman lash home a half volley to make it 2-1.
Just before the break, Ryan Nowak found space inside the 18-yard box and he rounded the keeper to add a third.
The second period saw Walshaw miss several gilt-edged opportunities and, when Avro pulled one back, it made for a tense last few minutes, but the hosts held on for a deserved victory.
Walshaw face Atherton Town at Sycamore Road on Saturday, kick-off 2pm.
