Ramsbottom United won promotion to the Evo-Stik League Premier Division after a 3-2 extra time victory at Bamber Bridge in the Division One North play-off final.
Lee Gaskell gave Ramsbottom a fifth-minute lead when he converted Grant Spencer's cross.
Bamber Bridge equalised on 22 mins and the game was deadlocked until three minutes from time when Steve Howson struck.
It looked like being enough to take the Rams into the division just three down from the Football League, but deep into time added on, and with the last kick of normal time, the home team equalised from the spot.
That took the game into extra time and Dominic Smalley scored the goal which earned the Rams a second promotion in three years.
