Leisure Lakes Bikes in Bury have teamed up with neighbouring Bolton cycling team Chronomaster to co-sponsor the racing team.

The family run business will supply the riders with bikes from a leading manufacturer as well as giving all the team matching helmets, shoes, gloves and socks that can be worn with their newly designed shorts and jerseys which incorporate the new sponsor’s logos.

Team principle Neil Wood from Chronomaster Ltd believes teaming up with Leisure lakes Bikes shows the success that his team have shown over the last 12 months and the impact they have had in the North West.

“We are delighted to be working with Leisure Lakes Bikes,” Neil says.

“With the new team bikes and it, it is a show of strength for our rapidly growing team, and will motivate and encourage us to build upon our successes.”

Mark Noy is a director at the company and he is excited to have the local racing team on board.

“Having a sponsored team on the local racing circuit makes good commercial sense and is a great opportunity to be involved with cycling development, which is rapidly becoming one of the most popular sports in the UK.”

The team will have to wait till March though to use their new equipment in a race scenario, with the Clayton Spring Classic near Clitheroe the first road event of the season.
