THE group fixtures of the Monarch Solicitors Bolton Cricket Development Under-11s Indoor League were completed earlier this month with Bury, Eagley, Bradshaw and Egerton all making it through to this Sunday's finals day.
Undefeated Bury began week three in pole position in Pool A. But defeat to Heaton could have seen them miss out on a semi-final place if Egerton had also won their fixture against Farnworth Social Circle, as all three sides would have been tied on four points.
However, Bury continued their impressive form with Joe Spencer (1-3), Matthew Korab (1-2) and Kumail Haider (1-8) claiming the wickets to restrict Heaton to 226-3 from their nine overs. In reply, Spencer made 14 as a team effort took them to 236-2 to win by 10 runs.
The Radcliffe Road boys will be aiming to reach the final with victory over Eagley in the semi-final on Sunday.
In the other week three matches, Egerton defeated Farnworth Social Circle by 22 runs, as Joe Cumberbatch (27) and Andrew Small (25) produced the highlights for Blackburn Road club. Bradshaw clinched top spot in Pool B with victory over Southport Trinity and will be joined in the semi-finals by Eagley who defeated Blackrod to progress as Pool B runners-up.
