BURY returned to winning ways in the Summer League with a comfortable win against a young Preston side.
The game started well for Bury as James Oakes fired home in the opening minutes, and things looked even better when Bury were awarded a penalty stroke.
However James Larmett's shot was saved giving Preston the chance to find an equaliser.
Two impressive stops from keeper Dan Taylor were vital before a typically flowing Bury move saw Oakes unselfishly set up Rob Bradburn, who crashed home a powerful finish.
Bury extended their lead shortly before half time when Oakes robbed the Preston centre-back to leave himself one-on-one with the keeper, and the Bury forward made the finish look easy.
The second half saw Bury dominate the play again, with further goals from Toby Carr-Brown and Sam Plant sealing the result.
Bury had chances to score more goals and will look to be more precise with their finishing against a dangerous Springfields side this week.
